Copywriting + Web design
Breeding premium grass-fed Angus beef for Australia and the world to enjoy.
Waverley Station breeds and sells high-end Angus cattle into the Australian and export beef markets. Privately owned by the Crouch family for over 20 years, the station has properties near Scone, NSW and on King Island.
The property had just come under new management as the owners' son was taking over the business. As part of the takeover a rebrand of the business was implemented. Part of this involved taking down the existing and dated website and creating a new and modern website that matched the new branding, showcased the suite of new photos of the property and distinguished Waverley Station as a professional and modern operation. The owners wanted the new website to be mobile responsive, integrated with their social media accounts and required functionality that would allow them to easily update and showcase upcoming cattle sales.
- Mobile responsive
- A modern and professional website to match the new branding
- Content optimised to perform well for relevant searches
- Social media integration
- Easy to update news section
- Easy to update cattle sales page
Working in tandem with the graphic designer, a new visual identity was developed that worked as well in print as it did on the web. The first stage of the project centered around developing engaging content that showcased the business in a friendly tone, while ensuring that it was optimised for industry-specific keywords.
The website was designed to match the new branding perfectly and was designed to offer the most simple site structure and browsing experience possible - ensuring that the website would remain usable even for users without much web experience. The site was designed to display perfectly no matter what device it was being accessed on and makes the most of the stunning new photos of the property by including plenty of full-width images and galleries.
Featuring easy-to-update cattle sale and news sections and automatically updated Instagram galleries, keeping the site content fresh is easy for Waverley Station staff - even for those with little web experience. The website is integrated with the business Facebook and Instagram accounts (which I also helped set up and rebrand), and has a simple contact form - making it easy for visitors to get in touch and connect with the business.
